How does RFID act?

This is the case of an Italian water distributor who, to allow the digital identification of steel drums, decided to rivet a RFID UHF Hardy tag on them through its holes on the ends.

This tag, chosen for the ability to operate on metal surfaces and in industrial environments, allows the drum to have a unique digital identity, and so it is possible to trace every single container up to the final customer also ensuring an agile management of these returnable items.
